If you have acne-prone skin, you have to give extra care to your skin as there are factors that changed your skin from those who have normal skin type. As recommended by the experts, you have to treat your acne-prone skin with more care and more caution. This post will share with you some helpful tips for acne-prone skin care.

Below are some good habits you need to cultivate in order to get rid of acne and achieve better and healthy skin.

1. The simplest way is by washing and cleaning your skin gently.

Use gentle soaps that can wash your skin mildly. Do NOT use soaps that are too strong for they may leave harsh effects on your skin. Toners and cleansers are not recommended as they have active components that may worsen your skin’s condition. When you feel the need for a toner or a cleanser, make sure that it must be approved by your dermatologist. Do NOT use skin products like skin scrubs for they might harm your skin.

2. For men, shave carefully

Always use shaving cream and clean shaver when removing hair from your skin. The soap or cream would make the hair softer. Shaving is a hygienic routine and sees to it that you do it properly without harming your skin.

3. Choose cosmetics carefully.

This is a special condition especially when you have acne. Cosmetics must be chosen well, they should be recommended by your dermatologist. Make sure you use cosmetic products that are oil free and are noncomedogenic or non-occlusive (meaning that they don’t block pores, this will greatly reduce the incidence of pimples).

These are just some of the things you need to consider as reminders for those who have acne-prone skin. The right caution and care would surely result in healthy skin.
