Cold water is great for your skin because it zaps those pores closed (or smaller...lol). That is great to minimize the bad stuff (makeup, grime, etc.) from getting into your skin. Skin is an organ so everyone should take care of it. I don't like warm/hot water on my face either. and....I grow my own aloe vera plant...they are so easy to keep up with!

warm water will open up pores and make it easier to cleanse, so people with oily/acne prone skin should wash with warm water.

cold water will constrict pores, thus making them less visible and skin will appear smoother.

Washing with warm water, then following up by pressing a cold washcloth to your skin is a really great way to get the best of both worlds

I use a turmeric cream on my face also and i haven't found any product that beats it in helping my breakouts.

I also do a honey mask once in a while. it's just pure honey on your face for about 1/2 an hour and it makes the skin really smooth. =)

yeah, turmeric seems to be helping me too. before I use to add honey in my cleanser too but later learned honey is good for dry skin so right now I am using turmeric n milk. I also use mud mask it helps eliminate the oil.
